The head - A site where much introspection occurs for one, and rationalization happens for the other. Beware of spending too much time there. Thinking is good, but overthinking isn’t good and for the other, over-rationalisation by one (conjuring up reasons for the breakup) can be disastrous as it disconnects you from your heart.
The heart - Where feelings blossom. Where heartache reigns supreme. Where love resides. What is grief, if not love persevering? I suppose if that is true, is the reason why a breakup hurts so much.
The body - Discomfort when one does the embarrassing. Pleasure when two lovers unite. Pain can be pleasurable, but discomfort is hard to endure. Beware of giving in to the discomfort, and ignoring one’s feelings.
The feet - Walking away is easy, but how does one walk away from one’s heart? It is impossible, for we reside within ourselves. Better to make peace, than to constantly run away. (Sidenote: One can run away through other means apart from being on the road. Alcohol. Food. Exercise. Pick your poison.)
The eyes - The place where tears leak out uncontrollably. On the bus, on the airplane, and in bed. Looking deeply into the other gives you access to their soul, their fears, and their joys. Look deeply into the mirror and stare right into the depths of your soul. You are worthy. You are enough. You are complete just as you are. You do not have to settle.
The hands - Longing for another to hold you with. Longing to hold another hand, as you walk along the streets, all lit up prettily for Christmas. Longing for a touch, of tenderness, care, and concern. You might not receive it from another now, but you can hold your soft toy, knowing that it’ll always be there for you. In good times and in bad. And that’s what you’ll do.
